Faces at the table

Whose faces are these?

Photographs from campaign evenings, strategy tables and the occasional final session. Every member shown has given permission, and any picture may be withdrawn on request, at any time, without a reason.

Around the long table

Who gathers on a Wednesday?

A campaign in progress, with maps, dice and a game master behind a screen
Four members laughing together over a board game
A pair of members considering a move on a strategy game
The room before the doors open, with tables set and chairs squared
On photographs

May a photograph be declined?

Always. A photograph is taken at the guild only with the consent of those in the frame, and any member who finds an image of themselves unwelcome has only to tell a Warden, who will remove it within a day. No reason need be given and none will be sought.

We tend to keep screens and chat names out of shot, for the sake of everybody's privacy, and we prefer images of hands, dice and maps to portraits. The result is a gallery of tables rather than of faces, and a fairly honest one, with a few exceptions among those who positively asked to be included.

Should you wish to contribute, bring a photograph to a Warden on any evening, together with the names of those who appear in it. We shall ask each of them before it is published, and their answer will be final. Nothing is published on the same evening, so that second thoughts are possible.

Behind the screens

What does an evening look like?

Miniatures arranged on a battle map beside a rulebook
The library corner with shelves of boxed games and a reading lamp
A member in headphones playing a strategy game late in the evening
Two members at the tea corner talking before the first session
